Aluminium Health Risks

I was talking to some of my colleagues yesterday about all of the things in the world that just don’t seem right. One of them has always had a very strong opinion about drugs and what makes them either legal or illegal. As usual I harped on about diet and how we are all doing it wrong (tongue in cheek), and another brought up how he knows a guy that doesn’t use deodorant because of the aluminium in it – his father had Alzheimer’s and he is worried about getting it too.

We kind of joked around about the guy that doesn’t use deodorant, but this morning my mate tells me that he was watching something on tantric you-know-what last night, and the guy narrating the video suggested that everyone should stay away from products that contain or are stored in aluminium. Apparently it can affect the “performance” of males greatly, while also being something that women should avoid.

After doing some quick research, it looks as though the aluminium thing is something I should really look into. Cooking in aluminium, especially with acidic foods is a real and genuine thing to avoid, and it has been well and truly linked to Alzheimer’s and breast cancer in women.

Soft drink, that disgusting fizzy stuff that I’m so addicted to must eat the hell out of those cans – that can’t be safe either.

Oh well, it’s just more motivation for me to get onto the good food. Raw fruit and veg, all the way.

I think that aluminium drink cans have a thin plastic coating inside them, though I could be wrong. The contents aren’t acidic enough to eat the can, you should avoid them because of the high sugar! ;-)

As for raw fruit and veg, that’s all well and good, but did you consider that cooking actually releases nutrients in the vegetables that are otherwise unavailable if eaten raw. Cooking came about for a reason, and as animals we are not herbivores but omnivores by evolution.

There’s always something extra to consider! I suppose the raw thing is something I just want to try. No idea if it will work or not. For the time being I’m just trying to eat a heap more fruit and veg anyway – can’t be bad for you, right!?

    Thanks for the comment :)

More fruit and veg is always a good thing! I just ate a banana and I’m about to start on an apple :-)

Raw food is great!!!! Everytime you eat something that is cooked your body gets very stressed, and sees it as a foreign object :) Also cooked food has no enzymes to speed up the breaking down of the food, so your body has to make them, and it makes your liver focus on other things then cleaning out your body and other organs. Lot’s of people has fought life threating desiases with help of raw food diet… I only eat half of my food raw, and after 3 years of diarrhea, and blood in stool, I am finally working “propperly”, with no medications :) I started this some months ago. And it’s right, soda cans has a plastic coating, and it’s really really bad for you. Should be avided! This plastic has Bisphenol A (BPA), a synthetic chemical that interferes with the body’s natural hormonal messaging system. And I smell some days, I don’t use more deoderants the nessesary, so it was very fun to read this, beause I have a hard time beliving that somehting that stops our normal sweating could be good for us!!!! Love reading your stuff :)
